HIGH VOLTAGE

Workshop in Madrid | 25 - 27 Jan 2018

Introduction

Dive into the world of consulting

Join us for a three-day workshop in Madrid, aimed at students in a technical or quantitative field of study. Spend the time thinking through some of the challenges of the utilities industry and how "digital" might not just be another buzz word for them.

Prove your ability to work in teams and develop solutions that will bring your client's business into a new age. With the help of our consultants, experience what a consulting project at Oliver Wyman feels like, crack an interactive case study and present your results in front of an Oliver Wyman expert jury.

Get to know us

Throughout the three days in Madrid you will get to know our Partners and Consultants during the case work as well as during team building and dinner events. Find out more about our exceptional culture and ask the questions you always wanted to ask. Learn what Oliver Wyman has to offer and identify your internship or consulting career opportunities.

Case

Develop and present an innovative solution

Together with your team you will think through the current challenges of a utilities provider and develop strategies that will digitize its business model.

Utilities providers face various challenges: Regulatory changes, especially the transition of renewable sources of energy, take their toll. At the same time competition intensifies and market transparency increases, causing clients to change providers more frequently. As a result, margins are under pressure and new customers generate only little incremental profit.

The application of digital technology offers opportunities for utilities providers to enhance growth and efficiency. However, this does not come easily - significant changes to internal infrastructure, processes and client interfaces are likely required. Our clients need to know how to advance their businesses the right way - to creat true impact on their bottom lines.

In this dynamic and competitive environment, many of our clients are looking for strategies to re-position themselves.

As a consultant, you will develop a future-proof business model that counters the current challenges and lets your client emerge as a leader in the field. You and your team will assess the changing competitive environment, client needs, and opportunities digital technology offers. Convince us by combining your analytic understanding of the market, creativity and a grasp for numbers to an innovative solution.
