Wolfgang is a Partner in the Munich Office of Oliver Wyman. During his more than 30 years in the consulting business, Wolfgang has directed an excitingly varied range of projects, focusing on restructuring and optimization programs in the machinery, engineering and supplier industry.
Building and maintaining relationships with colleagues and clients is fundamental to Wolfgang’s work ethic and acts as the foundation of his professional success:
A part of my role has, inevitably, involved cutting costs, which is not always easy. But I know that keeping relations good, even in these difficult situations is vital to the successful outcomes of everyone’s work. I have always tried to keep good relationships with my clients and with workers councils, to keep things moving smoothly and ethically for the good of the company.
Before joining Oliver Wyman, Wolfgang worked at Robert Bosch GmbH Industrial Equipment – Controls Division. His experience in the field is considerable; he has supported a leading machine tool manufacturer – with five plants in Germany and more than 10 legal entities across the globe – in a global SG&A cost reduction initiative. He also conducted a European fixed cost reduction programme involving 25 countries.
What my experience has taught me is that, even after 30 years of working as a consultant, each company is different and has new miracles to find!
Wolfgang holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration, with a background in electrical engineering, from the Technical University of Darmstadt and speaks German, English, and French.
