WOW — Women Of The World is a UK-based foundation and global alliance that celebrates women, girls, and non-binary people. WOW brings people together through festivals and events worldwide, sparking conversations, showcasing performances, and hosting workshops that address issues affecting women and drive change. To date, WOW has staged over 150 festivals and events across six continents, reaching more than five million people.
As WOW continued to expand, it needed a clear and compelling way to communicate its mission and future vision. In 2024, we helped WOW develop a global operational framework to support its growth. Subsequently, WOW sought our expertise in shaping a strong narrative that would galvanize its global partners, build shared commitment, and showcase its broader impact. This new narrative would reinforce WOW’s brand identity, align with its future ambitions and operating model — including a broader range of activities, opportunities, impact, and potential — and help attract funding and new audiences.

To help develop the narrative, our UK and Lippincott teams collaborated over six weeks. The journey started with research and engaging with external stakeholders (including WOW participants, delivery partners, funders, and global employees) through interviews, surveys, and social media outreach to understand how people currently describe WOW, its impact, and what makes it unique. These insights helped shape a narrative that truly reflects WOW's role and resonates with its audiences.
A full-day workshop, led by our 8works team — who are specialists in people-led change through co-creation — brought together WOW’s staff, board members, and close associates. With expertise from Lippincott, we helped craft a clear, futureproof brand narrative that captures WOW's identity and vision for change.
This new clarity allows WOW to expand its global reach with confidence. It equips its partners with the tools for consistent messaging, strengthens its case for funding, and empowers its leadership to communicate WOW's vision more effectively. With a stronger voice and a unified direction, WOW is set to inspire and connect even more people worldwide.
